The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University (MFA)

The Actors Studio has partnered with Pace University to establish a fully accredited, tuition-based Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degree.

Located at Pace’s New York City campus, the 3-year MFA program offers three distinct tracks: Acting, Directing, and Playwriting. From the beginning, all MFA candidates study acting together to learn a shared “language” and technique. On parallel tracks to that “ensemble” experience, every student actor, director, and writer undergoes intensive training in his or her own discipline, at the hands of one of the most distinguished acting, directing and writing faculties ever assembled.

All core teachers are Lifetime Members of The Actors Studio and approved by the Board of Directors.

The three-year program culminates in a fully professionally produced Repertory Season that is open to the profession and the public.

Upon graduation, students receive the title of ‘Finalist’ at The Actors Studio and are invited to attend sessions there for one post-graduate year prior to auditioning for membership. Directing and Playwriting students are also invited to participate in the Playwright/Director’s Workshop in New York for their post-graduate year.

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University is the home of INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO. This award-winning television series is the senior seminar for our MFA students and serves as a classroom and craft seminar designed to introduce them to some of the most renowned actors, writers, and directors in theatre, film, and television.
