Due to the increase in leaks from our last Nor’easter, it has been highly recommended that we move forward as swiftly as possible to replace our well worn out roof. The deterioration has been deemed too great to wait for a more convenient time.
This means that the theatre will be sealed closed to all people during this renovation (for asbestos removal, etc…). If you have reserved space in the theatre, please know you’ll no longer be able to use the theatre at all.
Depending upon how our weather holds up, the theatre will be sealed off from the evening of November 19th (the moment VANYA moves out) until sometime late on December 1st.
There will be no Acting Sessions on Nov 21, 28th or Dec 1st.
No PDW on Nov 21st or 28th
No PDU on Nov 29th.
Worst case scenario: If the weather is bad (rainy or below 40 degrees during the day) then it may take longer OR depending upon where they are in their process, if the weather completely deteriorates, we may be forced to suspend finishing it till Spring (sunny with 40+ degree weather).
During this time the downstairs (Paul Newman Library and the Den) can still be used.
The whole building will be closed as usual for the Thanksgiving weekend beginning Wednesday, Nov 22 at 2pm until Monday, Nov 27th.
